Banaban school on Rabi Island Fiji where the kids commit to 20 minutes plastics pick up each week this was their first effort. This initiative is is part of the Plastic Free Oceans - Sustainable Social direct projects.

This is crazy - 3/4 filled this bin yesterday with plastic beads from the gutter between our house and the coffee shop half a block away and the ocean is only 400m down the road. Yes, yes I should have taken some photos yesterday day :-(

The next Rotary Plastic Free Oceans Clean Up will be held this Sunday 1st September at Corrimal Beach from 8am - 9am. Meeting point is at Corrimal Surf Club. Bring your family and friends, a garbage bag and some gloves and help make a difference to your local beaches. Our beach clean ups are held at 8am on the 1st Sunday of every month. Love helping these guys out
July Pick Up Morning 7 July - 1st Sunday of the Month Plastics Here we go - 1st Sunday of the month the club and community meet at Corrimal surf club to go for a walk and pick up plastic and then have a coffee and some laughter. Gerri, Emma, Sue, Leanne, Kay, Pete, Rob had a heap of fun. See you next month. 7 people were involved in the activity 7 people were involved in the activity

Would you laugh at this? I'm out for breakfast - walking to my table with a coffee in hand - a TV to my left catches my eye - I miss the door by a meter and walk smack into the glass wall - that is my coffee dripping down the wall. At first the other patrons were worried I was hurt, but seeing I was OK the laughter was quite significant - as were the very funny quips as they were walking past me when leaving. Oh dear!
