Last week we conducted two clean-ups, Thursday was a local clean-up at the Corrimal ANZAC Grove Memorial Park where 3.5 full bags were collected, plus fencing, a large tarp and other assorted items. We went to Corrimal Beach for our Saturday clean-up. The morning started with a bit of rain, but it cleared away quickly for a nice day and lots of rubbish collected. This week we have a Thursday clean-up at Primbee and a Saturday clean-up at Bellambi Lagoon. Dilys, the numbers person, told me that we have collected over 60 large bags of rubbish so far this year, as well as lots of other items too big to fit into bags - well done team, great effort.
We have done two clean-ups in the past week, with good attendance of members and Rotaractors on both days. Last Thursday we started from the Harvey Norman Warrawong carpark and collected lots of rubbish along the main road and nearby areas. On Saturday we did our usual 1st Saturday of the month clean-up at Corrimal Beach. The area is definitely cleaner than when we first started there over a year ago, but there is always rubbish to collect whenever we go to Corrimal Beach. Our next clean-up will be back to Warrawong this Thursday.
Puckeys rubbish pick up The team put in a big effort for the cleanup last Thursday at
Puckeys Estate. This week we will go back to Puckeys this
Thursday, starting at 9:00am. Then to Corrimal Beach on Saturday
5th December for our monthly cleanup there, starting at the Corrimal Beach carpark at 8.00am people were involved in the activity
